As we begin the United Nations Decade on Ecosystem Restoration (2021-2030), programs like the Urban Schools Tree Planting Program are designed in response to the call for the protection and revival of ecosystems all around the world, for the benefit of people and nature.

This program seeks to inculcate the culture of tree planting and environmental conservation in school children and create awareness on the importance of tree planting and the advocacy against deforestation.

Selected schools in major Nigerian cities will be engaged under the Urban Schools Tree Planting Program to motivate students to plant and nurture trees within their school premises.

These trees will be planted and nurtured by these students for which they will be given medals. This particular project amplifiers the basics of SDG 13: Climate Action and SDG 15: Life on Land.
